“Développement professionnel et l’enseignement réflexif”

Prélude:

L’idée de développement professionnel et l’enseignement réflexif domine les recherches récentes de l’éducation, le développement des programmes d’études, l’évaluation de l’éducation et de la formation continue. Le développement professionnel et l’enseignement réflexif ont reçu en effet plus d’attention au fil des années que la plupart d’autres méthodes dans les sciences sociales. Rien n’est perpétuel ou permanent au monde. Sachant que la société elle-même change constamment, notre éducation doit également subir un développement continu. Il est absolument vrai qu’il n’y a pas de développement de l’éducation sans la participation active des enseignants à l’élaboration des programmes d’études. Cela révèle l’orientation ‘bottom-up’ (de bas en haut) qui nécessite d’abord le développement de conscience des enseignants avant d’effectuer toute autre recherche qui opte pour le changement du programme. Il est aussi important de suggérer qu’il ne pourrait pas y avoir un développement des enseignants sans acquérir le développement et l’amélioration des conditions de travail des enseignants qui jouent un rôle crucial dans l’éducation ou le développement du programme.

Background:

The idea of professional development and reflective teaching has been the mainstream in recent educational research, curriculum development, educational evaluation and in-service education. Professional development and reflective teaching have received indeed more attention over the years than most other methods in the social sciences. Nothing is everlasting or permanent in the world. Given the fact that society itself is constantly changing, our education must also undergo continual development and redevelopment. It is undoubtedly true that there is no education development without teachers’ active participation in curriculum formulation. This reveals the bottom-up orientation which calls first for development of teacher awareness before carrying any further research that opts for curriculum change. Equally important, it can be suggested that there could be no teacher development without the development and improvement of  teachers’ working-conditions which play a crucial key-role in any education or curriculum development.
