As part of its extracurricular activities, Moulay Ismail University organizes in collaboration with different institutions an  academic week of culture and art under the theme: “ A new approach to student innovation”  from the 14^th to the 19^th  of March 2016 at the premises of nine academic institutions within the  UMI and spread over 3 sites : Meknes, Errachidia and Khenifra.

At the program this week: art exhibitions, theatrical plays, poetry competitions and recitation of the Qur’an … etc.

The aims of this academic week are as follows: a) to allow UMI’s students to showcase their talents and innovative potentials in terms of artistic cultural activities and b) to promote links between students of different schools of UMI in the cultural field and, finally, to encourage cultural and artistic activities in the UMI.

The UMI places the utmost importance to the extra-academic activities since it is one of the levers of modern higher education. “… We are convinced that cultural and sports activities play a crucial role in the development of a strong personality of the student …” says Pr.
